2017 has been a very successful year for the Leixlip Youth & Community Centre, and much of what we have achieved would not have been possible without the financial support and funding from a number of sources. We would like to acknowledge and thank everybody involved.
Thank you to Intel Ireland for funding the start up costs and equipment of our coffee shop, Confey Coffee which has been a huge success since opening in May.
Thank you to Kildare County Council Community Grant scheme which part-funded our Youth Club summer camps, which enabled us to provide a wide range of activities and a day trip at very low cost to parents.
Thank you again to Kildare County Council for a separate Community Grant scheme fund which allowed us to upgrade indoor and outdoor furniture, as well as a new baby change unit for the Centre.
Thank you to Tesco Ireland for including us in their Community Fund which allowed us to purchase a new Xbox and games for our Youth Club.
Thank you to Kildare Wicklow Education Training Board who with funding from the Dept of Children and Youth Affairs awarded us grant funding for a wide range of equipment for our Youth Club – new fridge and freezer for our kitchen, art supplies, pool table recovered and new pool cues, sports equipment including new football goals, portable speakers, milkshake maker, new table tennis table, outdoor storage shed, and lockers.
Thank you to Volunteer Ireland who organised a Team Impact project at the Centre with Celestica who volunteered their employees to completely redecorate our outdoor decking area with new plants, painting and decorating. Celestica also contributed to the costs associated with the outdoor project.
Thank you to Energia for funding towards our project for replacing existing lighting in the Centre with energy efficient fittings.
The Board of Directors of Leixlip Youth Premises Group Ltd would like to sincerely acknowledge the dedication, hard work and enthusiasm of our Staff and Volunteers throughout the year in the various projects and initiatives outlined above possible.
Finally thank you to all in our community who have supported the Centre throughout the years….
